Russian president to visit Tehran soon

TEHRAN, Jan. 29 (MNA) – Iran’s FM has received former Russian FM and former Secretary of Russian National Security Council in Tehran.

Igor Ivanov and Javad Zarif discussed common issues of interest. Zarif believed that bilateral ties between the two countries and visits of the two countries’ officials would be advanced steps towards strategic relations. He also held that the two countries’ officials should keep in touch discussing regional and international issues. 

“Relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia should be extended as a sign of neighborhood,” added Zarif, saying that “we are looking forward having Russian president Vladimir Putin in his future visit to Iran. Dr Larijani’s upcoming visit to Moscow would boost political exchange between the two countries.

Igor Ivanov expressed pleasure over Iran’s nuclear deal and believed that the measures taken by Iran are important steps to show the real and true face of Iran in international community.
